Having a camping first aid kit on hand will help you to feel more confident about handling those bumps, bruises and scrapes that often is part and parcel of spending part of your life in the great outdoors.

Truth is, most pre-packaged first aid kits don’t have everything you may need to take care of even small injuries.

Meaning that even if you want to use a pre-packaged kit, there are some first aid items that might not be included. And you will need to buy those separately.

So we prepared a camping first aid kit checklist to help cover all of the basics.

Just copy this checklist and check off the items you have ready to go. This way, you will not forget any of the essential things you need to take along.

Basic Camping First Aid Kit Checklist

____ Antiseptic wipes

____ Antibacterial Ointment

____ Assorted sized adhesive bandages

____ Butterfly bandages (these will hold a deeper wound together)

____ Various Size Gauze pads

____ Adhesive tape

____ Tweezers (great for removing splinters)

____ Shears

____ Thermometer

____ Pain Relievers such as Tylenol that is safe for children and adults

____ Upset stomach medicine

You also want to make sure that you have plenty of bug repellent and sunscreen to help prevent bug bites and sunburn from ruining your camping trip.

Of course you want to keep your kit in a waterproof container to prevent damage. And make sure if anyone is taking prescribed medicines that each persons medication is separated and labeled and kept away from small children.
